2024 Spring Semester Registration Arrangements for International Students

According to the arrangement of the orientation work of the University and the School of International Education (International Students' Office), the relevant matters concerning the registration of the 2024 spring semester are hereby notified as follows:


I. Registration

1. Form: All international students should complete the registration at the School of International Education offices within the time limit.

2. Time:

(1) Degree students: February 25th

(2) Non-degree students (Chinese Language training students): February 25th-26th

Those who are not able to register according to regulations must apply for leaves from the School of International Education (International Student Office) and the major department (school) in advance and go through relevant procedures; those who fail to go through required procedures for more than two weeks, or leave without approval or application will have the school status cancellation according to the management regulations.

3. Suspension, resumption of school and leave:

Students who apply for suspension due to illness or other special reasons should log in the "campus portal" and apply for suspension through the "International Undergraduate/Postgraduate Student Academic Status Change Application" module. If students are still unable to resume school at the end of the suspension period, they shall apply for further suspension and go through the suspension procedures. The School of International Education will strictly approve all kinds of suspension while applications for suspension due to the epidemic will not be accepted. Students with suspended school status need to go through the formalities of resuming school before registering.

Students who are unable to register during the required registration period for some reason should log in to the "campus portal" to submit the leave formalities through the "International Student Leave Application Service". Asking for a leave can only be processed within the time limit for less than a month.


II. Freshmen registration materials

All new international non-degree students should register on site with the following materials.

1. Admission materials:

① One ID photo (size: 3.5*4.5cm, white background)

② One copy of the front page of the passport (size A4)

③ Original admission letter

④ One copy of the admission letter (size A4)

2. Visa materials:

① Original admission letter

② Original passport

③ Copy of passport: 1 copy of the front page (size A4), valid visa page and 1 copy of the latest entry stamp page

④ A recent white background two-inch ID photo

⑤ JW 201/202

⑥ Physical examination report within six months (the report issued by overseas physical examination institution should be certified by Dalian International Travel Health Care Center)

⑦ Registration form for overseas students (off-campus accommodated students should go to the police station in advance, and on-campus accommodated students are not required)

⑧ Visa fees (depending on the duration of study)


III. Payment and other noted matters

3. Payment time: fees must be paid through online payment or domestic and foreign remittance before February 25. Student should register with the payment receipts, and no cash will be processed on site.


IV. Teaching arrangement

1. International degree students

Undergraduate students (including Chinese language majors), master students and doctoral students will start classes from February 26 according to the course schedule.

2. Chinese language students

February 27-28: the placement test;

The test results will be announced on March 1;

The classes officially start on March 4.
