Q16. Does DUT offer the pick-up service?
A: DUT offers the pick-up service for free during the registration time upon request.
Q17. Is it convenient for Internet access?
A: There is an Internet access in the Ph.D & International Students Dormitory. International students can use internet after registration at DUT Internet Center.
Q18. Can I go to Lushun for a visit?
A: Yes. Lushunkou District and Changhai County are the restricted areas to foreigners, and foreigners must get the permission from Dalian Public Security Bureau to travel to the restricted areas.
Q19. Can I rent apartment off the campus?
A: Yes. The international students should get the relevant application and registration forms from the International Students Office or download the application form from website: http://sie. before renting apartment, and then, complete registration for residence with your landlord at the local police station within 24 hours. After registration for residence, international students should update the living address with the relevant documents issued by International Students Office at Exit-Entry Administration of Dalian Public Security Bureau within 10 days of changes.
Q20. Can I work during my study in China?
A: According to the Chinese laws and regulations, international students cannot work when study in China. But the international students can take internship or part time jobs on campus.
Q21. Can I obtain the credits at DUT?
A: Yes. DUT offers various credit programs to international students, and issues certification to you when you finish the study here. The credits can be obtained or not is determined by your host university. You can consult your host university for credit certification before you come to DUT.
Q22. How do I handle procedures on apartment rent, visa, residence extension and so on?
A: Please come to International Students Office to get the relevant forms and certifications before you handle these procedures, and then go to Dalian Security Bureau to compete the procedures. You can go to International Students Office for more details.
