Aiming at encourage the communication between international students and Chinese students as well as to develop sportsmanship, School of International Education actively joint the DUT Annual Football Game. On Nov 26th the final game began between SIE and School of Software. They presented a wonderful football match for all audience. Although the wind was strong, the athletes concentrated on the match and the audience also cheered for their team with great enthusiasm. After a group photo of both side they shook hands with each other and then the game began.
Only five minutes later, SIE broke the deadlock and held a one goal lead. The perfect start inspired the passion of athletes. With the excellent skill and wonderful combinations, our team shot frequently and had the upper hand all the time during the game. The athletes from School of Software did their best to close the gap. The game was also a show of international friendship.
During the half-time break our athletes analyzed the first half and made some strategies.When the second half began athletes from School of Software were still unremitting. Even in this situation our athletes kept on and held a 7-0 lead to the final. In the end we won the game with a score of 7-0. When the game was over athletes from both sides hug with each other as the old saying goes“friendship first,competition second”.
During this game international students showed their excellent skills, wonderful combinations and perfect sportsmanship which left a very deep impression to us, we also saw the spirit of persistence from students in SIE that reminded us of the spirit “Sports without borders”. The wonderful game, the international style, the perfect sportsmanship-- all made the place in game unimportant. The happiest thing is that international students not only gained happiness but gained friendship during the game.
