硕士、博士留学生超过基本学制（硕士超过3年、博士超过4年）无法按期完成学业者，需向研究生院提交论文答辩延期申请，具体申请流程请按所在院系要求办理并于2017年6月15日前向国际教育学院提交《硕士学位论文答辩延期及学习年限延长申请报告》或《大连理工大学博士学位论文答辩延期申请报告评审意见表》。

奖学金硕士留学生在华学习时间已达第三年的，奖学金博士留学生在华学习时间已达或超过第五年的，奖学金期限不予延长。

Notice for International Postgraduate Students: Application for extension of date of thesis defense

   Those master’s students and PhD students whose period of study has exceeded the normal length (3 years for the former and 4 years for the latter) and who cannot graduate on schedule may apply for an extension for the date of their thesis defense by submitting the necessary materials to the graduate school.  Please first refer to your individual department and complete the specific requirements of the application process before submitting either the Form for Review of DUT Master’s Student Report to Apply for Extension of Thesis Defense or the Form for Review of DUT PhD Student Report to Apply for Extension of Thesis Defense.to the School of International Education before June 15^th, 2017.

   For those international master’s students holding scholarships who have already reached their third year of study in China, as well as international PhD students holding scholarships who have already reached or exceeded their fifth year of study, the scholarship will not be extended along with the date of the thesis defense.
