Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program and Chinese Government Scholarship - Silk-Road Program are full scholarships established by Ministry of Education, P.R.C for universities to directly select and recruit outstanding young foreign students to study for postgraduate degree in China.

Ⅰ. Introduction

● Enrollment Quotas, Categories and deadline

1.Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is recruiting Master's and PhD students for the Chinese Government Scholarship -High Level Postgraduate Program and Chinese Government Scholarship - Silk-Road Program for the year 2025. The duration of the scholarships study is three years for master's students and four years for doctoral students.

2 The language of instruction is generally Chinese, with some programs are available in English.

3. Scholarships are granted for the duration of the study period determined at the time of admission, including specialized studies, and will not be extended in principle.

4. Scholarship recipients shall be managed in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Chinese Government Scholarship. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their institutions of admission; in principle, they are not allowed to change their majors and duration of study after coming to China.

● Qualifications

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.

2. Education background and age limit:

- Applicants for master degree programs must received bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35.

- Applicants for doctor degree programs must received master's degree and be under the age of 40.

3. Satisfy the appropriate language requirements for the speciality you are applying for.

● Scholarship Content

1. Exempt from tuition, free on-campus accommodation provided;

2. Monthly allowance is offered as followings:

 * Master Degree Students:  3,000 CNY/month  

 * Doctor Degree Students:  3,500 CNY/month

3. Chinese Government Scholarship Comprehensive Medical Insurance provided.

4. International travel: self-sustained.

From November 1, 2024 to February 15, 2025.

Ⅲ. Application Materials

1. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form:

The applicants for Chinese Government Scholarship should fill in the online application and print the application form and sign it after submitting it online. The CSC Online Application System for Study in China is available at http://www.campuschina.org

Note：When you fill in the online application, Agency No. of DUT is 10141.

IF WE CANNOT CHECK YOUR INFORMATION IN ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE CANCELED.

2. DUT Application Form:

3. Notarized highest diploma:

If applicants are university students, they shall also provide studying certificates. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English. Applicants for PhD should provide undergraduate and master certificates.

4. Academic transcripts (From the undergraduate program onwards):

Academic records from first to the last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and the doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. The transcript shall be issued and sealed by the graduate university’s academic affairs office or student management department. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

5. A study plan proposal (no less than 1000 words):

The study plan proposal should write in Chinese or English. Please expatiate on the major or research field you would like to study at DUT, and sign by DUT supervisors. Pls refer to the attachment 1.

6. Two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors from the university which applicants graduated:

The letter should write in Chinese or English. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth. Pls refer to the attachment2.

7.  Foreigner Physical Examination Form :

The applicant should strictly follow the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, which must be completed in English. The Foreigner Physical Examination Form will be invalid if the following items are missing: pages, self-photo, a cross-page stamp over the photo and the form or a signature and a stamp of physician and hospital. The medical examination results are valid for 6 month. Pls refer to the attachment3.

8. Blood Test Report:

The Blood Test Report should include results of HIV、Syphilis/V.D.R.L、HbsAg and HCV.

9. Photocopy of passport photo page and one blank visa page：

Ordinary passport expires after September 2025.

10. Language Proficiency certificates：

Chinese-Taught Program，requirement of HSK Level and Score（2 years validity）as following：

（1）Majors related to science, engineering, economics and management, the requirement is the new HSK test Level 4 and a minimum score of 180；

（2）Majors related to humanities and foreign languages, the requirement is the new HSK test Level 5 and a minimum score of 180.

English-Taught Program，requirement of English proficiency certificate as following：

（1）To submit a TOEFL or IELTS transcript, in principle, the score must be 80 or higher, and the IELTS score must be 5.5 or higher;

（2）Certificate that the language of instruction in the previous stage is English;

（3）Applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from certificate of English language proficiency;

If the applicant cannot provide the above certificate, the supervisors and department could evaluate your language level according to the interview or written test.

11. Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction:

The validity period is six months. If it is not possible to provide it at the application stage, the No Criminal Record Commitment in attachment 4 can be signed as a temporary substitute document.

12. Other Materials:

（1）Acceptance Letter from DUT Supervisor (It is not obligatory): Applicants can contact the Supervisor for assessment and receive the letter of acceptance. Please following attachment 5 DUT supervisor list for more details. Please following attachment 6 Acceptance letter Sample for more details;

（2）If applicants are already employed, please provide employment certificate issued by the employer;

（3）Applicants who are now in China should submit scan of Photocopy of Visa;

（4）1 photo （3cm * 4cm）.

Ⅳ. Application Procedures

Chinese Government Scholarship applicants must complete:

（1）Submit the application on DUT website (http://iso.dlut.edu.cn/) and select the project "Scholarship";

（2）Submit your application documents to dutsice@dlut.edu.cn in ZIP. Please name the email subject after“DUT application number + passport last name + passport name”(example: 20241100001 + ABDUR + MUHAMMAD ). If the application materials are not submitted by email, it will not be accepted.

Note: If applicant applies for two or more scholarships at the same time, you only need to send one copy of the application materials to the official email. Application forms for all types of scholarship programs must be uploaded in Scholarship Application Form section on the Scholarship system.

The admission notice will be issued to the applicants at the end of July, 2025, and enrollment time will be September, 2025.
