Starting from February 25th, DUT spring semester international student orientation work has been successfully launched. The School of International Education admitted 174 international students from 25 countries including Thailand, Belarus, Vietnam, Russia, and Japan. Full of anticipation, international students from around the world gather at Dalian University of Technology, about to embark on a wonderful journey of studying at the pleasant campus.
To ensure that the welcoming work goes smoothly, the School of International Education attaches great importance to the preparation. We carefully plan the orientation during the winter vacation, clarify work responsibilities, and ensure the safe and orderly implementation of the welcome work. The international student registration guide is prominently placed in the registration hall to remind the whole process for new students. Upon reporting to the scene, the staff carefully reviewed the student materials, patiently answered the questions, and made every effort to create a convenient and warm environment, conveying the enthusiasm and joy of the SIE family to new students worldwide.
In the next stage, the School of International Education will focus on the "Development Plan for Overseas Students at Chinese Universities" and gradually carry out various types of enrollment education for the new international students, covering campus visits, ice-breaking activities, academic guidance, living tips, and other content. This would be a great help for international students to fully understand Chinese laws and regulations and school rules and regulations, enhance cross-cultural communication skills, and quickly adapt to the campus environment, thus taking the first step towards a new life of "Overseas Students in China".
