In order to enhance the teaching abilities of our faculty, provide a platform for teacher communication and collaborative growth, strengthen the school's teaching development, and promote faculty development, the School of International Education held its third "Seeking the Path" teaching salon on June 18 at noon in room D107 of the School of International Education. This session of the teaching salon focused on "Sharing and Discussing Experiences in Writing Teaching Cases," hosted by Associate Professor Guo Hanning, with all faculty members attending.
The salon centered on writing teaching cases for international Chinese education, grounded in the actual teaching practices of our university. Associate Professor Guo Hanning first introduced the key principles and considerations in writing teaching cases for international Chinese education. Subsequently, four teachers—Guo Shuhong, Guo Xiaoyu, Song Peng, and Song Lihua—shared their experiences in writing cases. Finally, the faculty team engaged in discussions and exchanges on topics such as case selection, the typicality of issues included in the cases, and how to combine case writing with theoretical analysis.
As an important unit of our university's international Chinese education, the School of International Education encompasses both non-degree and degree education systems for international students. The school has always placed great emphasis on curriculum development for international students in China and the construction of related teaching case resources. Relying on the school's "Five Ones" brand project, the school has conducted three consecutive sessions of outstanding international Chinese education case collections, aiming to promote deep teaching reflection through case writing to further improve teaching quality.
In the future, the school will continue to focus on the "Excellent Courses, Excellent Teachers, Excellent Students" initiative, organizing a series of "Seeking the Path" teaching salon activities with various themes, based on the actual conditions of international student education in China. This will build a platform for teacher communication and collaborative growth, continuously advancing the high-quality development of our university's international Chinese education.
