School of International Education Holds Orientation Meeting for Master Students in Class of 2025 majoring in International Chinese Education

The orientation meeting for first grade of master students majoring in International Chinese Education was held on September 2 in Room D107, Haichuan Building. The event was hosted by Guo Hanning, Assistant Dean of the School of International Education, and attended by Wang Jiatian, Director of the Practical Teaching Center for Master of International Chinese Education, Du Xueling, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Tian Siyu, student Counselor and Academic Affairs Officer.

                                         

     

At the beginning of the meeting, students from eightcountries and various regions of China gave the introduction of themselves one by one. They shared personal interests, hometown cultures and local cuisines, creating an engaging atmosphere that effectively enhanced mutual understanding between students and teachers.

Following the introductions, Guo Hanning provided a detailed interpretation of the Training Program for International Chinese Education and degree conferral requirements, helping students take better understanding of their academic goals. Wang Jiatian introduced the internship and practicum arrangements based on the Dalian University of Technology MTCSOL Practical Training Handbook. Tian Siyu explained the application process for the master’s degree, while Du Xueling elaborated on the revisions in the new editions of the Graduate Teaching Management Measures and Graduate Student Status Management Regulations.

The meeting systematically introduced the three-year training plan for students majoring in International Chinese Education, covering course studies, practical training, thesis writing, and participation in academic competitions. It also gave the guidance on behavioral norms, safety education, and academic planning to help new students achieve quicker adaption to campus life.

The School of International Education places great emphasis on the quality of student talent cultivation. In the future, we will continue to offer orientation activities and academic support, organize regular grade meetings, monitor student development, and strengthen two-way communication. These efforts aim to continuously improve the quality of education and enhance the campus life experience, laying a solid foundation for student growth.
