On the afternoon of March 17, the School of International Education held its 2026 Strategic Development Seminar in Conference Room D107 of the Haichuan Building. The seminar was organized to thoroughly execute the 2026 strategic plans, clarify future directions, ensure accountability, and coordinate the smooth execution of international student programs for the upcoming semester. During the meeting, attendees discussed and outlined the key tasks and growth targets for international education in 2026. The entire leadership team and department heads of SIE  were in attendance.

Duan Yuping first conveyed DUT's key work points and requirements for 2026, providing a comprehensive interpretation of the university's overall work arrangements and development goals. Subsequently, he made specific arrangements centering on key tasks such as the admissions promotion, education and teaching, talent cultivation, regional cooperation, and internal governance of SIE. He pointed out the need to closely follow the university's strategic themes and key work points, anchor the college's strategic goals, clarify development paths, and further advance the DUT's "15th Five-Year Plan" and the planning of key tasks for 2026. It is necessary to focus on the theme of the "Year of Digital and Intelligent Transformation," using digital and intelligent empowerment as an engine to solidly promote the implementation of all plans. He emphasized that the entire SIE team must strengthen its sense of responsibility, and effectively unify thoughts and actions with the overall requirements of the DUT's 2026 work. With the courage for reform and innovation and a work style of striving for excellence, the planning blueprints must be translated into tangible results, thereby pushing international student affairs to a new level.

During the meeting, the heads of each department reported on the 2026 core development indicators, key tasks, work measures, task ledgers, and specific deliverables, engaging in in-depth exchanges regarding priority initiatives.

The convening of this development seminar has defined the key priorities and clarified the direction for 2026 operations. The School of International Education will further build consensus, strengthen accountability, consolidate strengths, and address weaknesses. With full momentum and a pragmatic work style, the college will solidly advance all tasks for the inaugural year of the "15th Five-Year Plan," injecting new momentum into the university’s "Accelerated Growth" (Accelerated Run) through the high-quality development of international student affairs.
