School of International Education Convenes 2026 Spring Semester College-Wide General Meeting

On March 27, the School of International Education held the All-Staff Meeting for the 2026 Spring Semester, with all members of the college's leadership team and the entire faculty and staff in attendance.

Duan Yuping fully affirmed the efforts and contributions made by all faculty and staff to the college's development and construction over the past year, and reviewed the college's development achievements in 2025. He then conveyed the spirit of the university's key meetings for the new semester, delivered a comprehensive interpretation of the college's 15th Five-Year Development Plan, and systematically deployed the key work for 2026, in a bid to further unify thinking, build consensus, and map out the blueprint for the college's high-quality development in 2026. He pointed out that, as we stand at the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the work of international student education in China must closely follow the university's work arrangements. First, we will carry out three major initiatives guided by key indicators, namely the in-depth implementation of the Communication Capacity Enhancement Initiative, Network Expansion and Upgrading Initiative, and Resource and Brand Building Initiative. Second, we will focus on the university's theme of "Digital-Intelligent Transformation Year", take digital-intelligent empowerment as the core engine, build a full-cycle smart platform, and solidly advance the implementation of all plans. Third, we will prioritize student enrollment and cultivation work, further advance the "full-staff enrollment" strategy, and call on all faculty and staff to actively participate in student source expansion efforts. We will also adhere to a student-centered approach, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, and deliver targeted support and assistance. He stressed that all faculty and staff of the college must closely align with the university's development strategy, actively benchmark against the university's development requirements, and adopt the mindset of "the start is a sprint, the opening is a decisive battle", to drive the international student education to achieve a leapfrog development in capacity and level for the "Global DUT" initiative.

Subsequently, each member of the college's leadership team in charge of respective portfolios laid out detailed work arrangements for their specific business areas.

This meeting clarified the key tasks for 2026 and unified the thinking and understanding of all faculty and staff. All faculty and staff of the college will further build synergy, and with a higher strategic stance and a more pragmatic work style, strive to lift all work for 2026 to a new height, and jointly write a new chapter in the high-quality development of international education.
