谷雨润物，汉字生辉。2026年4月18日，在第十七个联合国中文日暨第七个“国际中文日”到来之际，大连理工大学以“中文：点亮多彩梦想”为主题，开展了一场别开生面的“传统文化智造焕新·留学大工未来可期”文化体验活动。来自意大利、俄罗斯、埃及、越南等40余个国家的近100名国际学生走进工程训练国家级实验教学示范中心，以中文为纽带、以智造为载体，在科技与传统的交融中感悟中文之美、传承中华文脉，共庆属于全球中文学习者的节日。
As the Grain Rain nourishes spring and Chinese characters shine with it, Dalian University of Technology celebrated the 17th UN Chinese Language Day and the 7th International Chinese Language Day on April 18, 2026. Under the theme "Chinese: Sparking Colorful Dreams," DUT hosted an innovative cultural experience titled "Chinese culture with innovation, Fulfilled future with DUT". Nearly 100 international students from 40 countries, including Italy, Russia, Egypt, Vietnam, visited the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Engineering Training. Through Chinese language as a bridge and smart manufacturing as a medium, they immersed themselves in the fusion of technology and tradition, appreciating the beauty of Chinese culture and the cultural heritage, while celebrating this global festival for Chinese language learners.
方寸寄梦，焕然匠心：全自动生产线“刻”出活字新篇
Dreams on the Stamp of Craftsmanship: The Fully Automated Production Line 'Carves' a New Chapter of Chinese
活动以“汉字文化传承”开篇，国际学生们走进国家级智能制造平台，在教师指导下体验了全自动智能制造生产线的完整流程。机械臂自动抓取树脂工件、高速铣削刻字、全自动精磨、上墨成品——一枚枚刻有学生中文姓名的树脂印章依次产出。这一过程既是对中国古代活字印刷术的技术回望，也是对当代“具身智能”制造能力的直观展示。
The event commenced with the theme of "Inheritance of Chinese Character Culture." International students visited a national-level intelligent manufacturing platform and, under the guidance of the instructors, experienced the complete workflow of a fully automated intelligent manufacturing production line. Robotic arms automatically captured resin workpieces, performed high-speed milling and engraving, conducted fully automated precision grinding, and applied ink to produce finished products—each being a resin seal engraved with the students 'Chinese names. This process not only served as a technical retrospective of China's ancient movable type printing technology but also provided an intuitive demonstration of contemporary "embodied intelligence" manufacturing capabilities.
来自埃及的国际中文教育专业硕士研究生乐安（MENNAALLAH AYMAN MAHMOUD AHMED KABEEL）在亲手启动生产线后表示：“活字印刷术是中国古代文明的重要标志。今天，我看到这一传统工艺被全流程智能机械所延续和超越，汉字从历史中走来，又被精确地刻印在当代材料上。这让我深刻体会到中文不仅是书写的艺术，更是中国科技持续创新的精神载体。”
一枚枚中文姓名印章在宣纸上郑重落印，国际学生们“方寸之间，汉字即我”的文化认同感油然而生。
MENNAALLAH AYMAN MAHMOUD AHMED KABEEL, an international Chinese language teaching major master student from Egypt, remarked after personally launching the production line: "Type printing is a significant hallmark of ancient Chinese civilization. Today, I witness this traditional craft being preserved and surpassed by fully intelligent machinery—Chinese characters, emerging from history, are precisely engraved onto contemporary materials. This profoundly impresses upon me that Chinese is not merely an art of writing but also a spiritual carrier for China's continuous technological innovation." When Chinese name seals were solemnly stamped on rice paper, it evoked a profound cultural identity among international students: 'Within this small space, Chinese characters become more than they mean.'
光刻一瞬，纸映千年：激光雕刻让剪纸非遗“智造”新生
A Single Moment on the Paper Reflecting the Tradition: Laser Engraving Revitalizes Intangible Cultural Heritage of Paper Cutting through Smart Manufacturing
第二板块聚焦中国非物质文化遗产——剪纸。与传统手工剪刻不同，本次活动采用智能激光测量与切割系统。国际学生们以中文为创作核心，自主编程设计福字、生肖、汉字书法、校徽等图案，随后由高精度激光雕刻机完成精细镂空切割，让红纸之上绽放中文非遗之美。
The second section focuses on China's intangible cultural heritage—paper-cutting. Unlike traditional manual cutting, this event employs an intelligent laser measurement and cutting system. International students take Chinese as the core of their creations, independently programming designs such as the character "Fu," zodiac signs, Chinese calligraphy, and school emblems. Subsequently, high-precision laser engravers complete intricate cutting, allowing the beauty of Chinese intangible cultural heritage to blossom on red paper.
来自委内瑞拉的奖学金生弗兰克（JEAN FRANK CORONADO MARTINEZ）在完成自己的“连年有余”剪纸后说道：“感谢语合中心和大连理工大学搭建平台，使我有机会站在这里体验中国文化。剪纸艺术穿越千年，如今在激光光束下焕发新生——科技没有稀释传统，反而让中文与中华文化以更具时代感的方式走进我的生命。这是我梦寐以求的体验。”
Jean Frank Coronado Martinez, a CIS scholarship student from Venezuela, said after completing his "Year After Year Abundance" paper-cutting project: "I would like to thank the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and our university for providing this platform, which allowed us to stand here and experience Chinese culture. Paper-cutting art has traversed thousands of years and now is rejuvenated under laser beams—technology has not diluted tradition but rather brought the Chinese language and culture into my life in a more contemporary way. This is the experience I have longed for."
在非遗传承与工程教育的有效融合过程中，学生们互相交换着自己的作品。不少学生将激光剪纸作品贴在手机壳或笔记本上，将这一份“来自大工的科技文创”悉心珍藏。
During the effective integration of intangible cultural heritage transmission and engineering education, students exchanged their works with each other. Many students attached laser-cut paper artworks to smartphone cases or notebooks, carefully preserving this "technological cultural innovation from the Day."
智启弈道，博观古今：3D打印还原中国象棋的智慧载体

“智启弈道 博观古今”环节，国际学生们以中国象棋汉字为切入点，通过3D建模设计“帅、士、象、马、车、炮、兵”等汉字棋子与折叠棋盘，用增材制造技术（3D打印） 打造专属象棋。
During the session titled 'Intelligent Chinese Chess Enlightening Ancient and Modern Wisdom', international students utilized Chinese chess characters as a starting point. Through 3D modeling, they designed Chinese-character chess pieces along with foldable chessboards, and employed additive manufacturing technology (3D printing) to create customized chess sets.
来自俄罗斯的奖学金生利卡（ANZHELIKA ILIASHENKO） 手捧自己打印完成的一副象棋，分享了她的心路历程：“象棋是我对中国文化兴趣的起点。小时候，家里的长辈珍藏了一副木质象棋，棋子上的‘車、帥’等繁体汉字就像神秘的符号吸引着我。正是这份好奇驱使我学习中文，并最终来到中国。今天，我能够用3D打印技术亲手制作属于自己的象棋，这不仅圆了我少年时的梦，更让我看到：中文可以借助现代工程技术，成为连接过去与未来的桥梁。”
现场随后举办了小型象棋友谊赛，学生们使用自己打印的棋子对弈，工程训练中心里响起阵阵欢笑。
ANZHELIKA ILIASHENKO, a CIS scholarship recipient from Russia, held a set of chess pieces she printed herself and shared her journey: "Chess marked the beginning of my interest in China's culture. As a child, our elders kept a set of wooden chess pieces at home, which fascinated me like mysterious symbols. It was this curiosity that drove me to learn Chinese and eventually led me to China. Today, being able to create my own chess set using 3D printing technology not only fulfills a childhood dream but also shows me how Chinese can serve as a bridge connecting the past and the future through modern engineering technology." A friendly chess match was then held at the venue, where students played with their self-printed chess pieces.
