To implement the “Excellent Teachers, Excellent Students, Excellent Courses” Initiative, actively respond to the digital and intelligent transformation of education, address practical challenges in classroom teaching, and advance the deep integration of AI technology and curriculum teaching, the School of International Education hosted the 12th "Seeking the Path" Teaching Salon on October 22nd, 2026.

The event invited Li Dandan, Assistant Dean, Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor from the School of Marxism of DUT, to deliver a special lecture entitled Digital-Intelligent Empowerment and Coherent Thinking: Practical Exploration of Smart Teaching. All full-time faculty members of SIE and relevant postgraduate students attended the activity.

Focusing on common pain points encountered by frontline teachers, Li Dandan discussed practical teaching challenges including insufficient interaction in large classes, low student engagement with abstract theoretical content, subjectivity in teaching assessment, difficulties in managing project-based classrooms, and obstacles in implementing blended learning. Drawing on curriculum reform practices, she shared actionable solutions and implementation pathways for AI-empowered teaching across the whole teaching cycle, as well as experimental and scenario-based theoretical instruction. Her presentation covered pre-class lesson preparation, in-class delivery, online platform development, assessment and evaluation, and the construction of digital teaching resources.

During the discussion session, participating faculty, in light of the features of international Chinese education, engaged in in-depth exchanges on practical dilemmas such as the deployment of digital-intelligent tools, large-class management, blended curriculum development, and the implementation of process-oriented assessment.

The "Seeking the Path" Teaching Salon serves as a key initiative for SIE to deliver the “Excellent Teachers, Excellent Students, Excellent Courses” Initiative. Building on outcomes of previous digital-intelligent teaching training, this session centered on classroom issues and practical improvement, offering practical references for digital-intelligent teaching reform. SIE will continue to leverage this salon platform to deepen the integration of AI and international Chinese education. Through digital-intelligent curriculum development, it will improve the quality of education for international students and boost the development of the "Study at DUT" brand.
