In accordance with the relevant notice requirements of the CSC and the scholarship management arrangements of the School of International Education, we hereby officially launch the 2026 Scholarship Annual Review and Doctoral Students' Scholarship Extension Application work.

I. Annual Review

1. Scope of Participating Students

In principle, all students who will continue to receive the scholarship after September 2026 must participate in the review, including:

• Students who cannot  graduate as originally scheduled in July 2026 and intend to apply for scholarship extension;

• Students whose scholarship eligibility was suspended due to failing the 2025 scholarship review and intend to apply for reinstatement of scholarship eligibility.

2. Review Content

A comprehensive assessment will be conducted on scholarship students' performance in the previous academic year, with quantitative scoring and qualitative evaluation on a 100-point full scale:

• Academic Performance: 30 points

• Moral Conduct: 30 points

• Study/Research Attitude: 20 points

• Activity Performance: 20 points

A total score of 60 points (inclusive) or above is deemed as qualified. For students who fail the review, corresponding sanctions of scholarship suspension or revocation will be imposed.

3. Review Criteria

1. Scholarship eligibility will be suspended under any of the following circumstances:

(1) Being retained in the same grade or demoted due to unqualified assessment results;

(2) Failing to obtain the required credits for enrolled courses for two consecutive years;

(3) Postgraduate students who fail to complete the required mid-term assessment before the start of the annual review as scheduled;

(4) Being given the disciplinary sanction of academic probation;

(5) Other circumstances confirmed by the review working group as ineligible for continued scholarship benefits.

Students with suspended scholarship eligibility will not enjoy scholarship benefits in the following academic year, but may apply to continue their studies at the university at their own expense in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university.

2. Scholarship eligibility will be revoked under any of the following circumstances:

(1) Committing serious illegal or criminal acts;

(2) Being given the disciplinary sanction of forced withdrawal or expulsion from the university;

(3) Failing the annual review twice accumulatively during the study period at the university;

(4) Failing to participate in the annual review without justifiable reasons;

(5) Failing to proactively contact the university and explain the situation before the deadline announced on the university's official website even with special circumstances (will be deemed as non-participation without reason);

(6) Other circumstances confirmed by the review working group as unqualified for continued scholarship benefits.

Students whose scholarship eligibility is revoked will have their living stipend suspended from the next academic year, and their scholarship eligibility cannot be reinstated.

4. Review Process

The basic process is: Student Self-Assessment (and upload relevant supporting materials as required) → Supervisor/Reviewer Scoring → University Evaluation → Result Announcement.

• For all scholarship students:

The scholarship annual review must be initiated via the Campus Portal Service Hall System (URL: portal.dlut.edu.cn).

• For Chinese Government Scholarship students:

You must also simultaneously initiate the application via the China Government Scholarship International Student Management Information System (URL: studyinchina.csc.edu.cn).

II. Doctoral Student Scholarship Extension

1. Application Eligibility

Doctoral students applying for scholarship extension must meet the following requirements:

1. Have never applied for scholarship extension before, and the scholarship term will expire in July      2026 or January 2027;

2. Have a serious study attitude and good academic performance;

3. Have passed the scholarship annual review, completed the thesis proposal required by the      university and passed the mid-term assessment;

4. Have never applied for      scholarship extension (excluding students whose scholarship has expired).

For scholarship students whose scholarship term will expire in July 2026 or January 2027, if you do not apply for scholarship extension this time or are unable to apply for extension due to failure to meet the above requirements, your scholarship extension application will no longer be accepted after the scholarship expires.

2. Application Process

The basic process is: Student Application → Supervisor Review → University Review → Result Announcement.

• For all eligible scholarship students:

The scholarship extension application must be initiated via the Campus Portal Service Hall System (URL: portal.dlut.edu.cn).

• For CSC students:

You must also simultaneously initiate the application via the China Government Scholarship International Student Management Information System (URL: studyinchina.csc.edu.cn).

III. Deadline for Scholarship Annual Review and Extension Application

1. For Scholarship Students

You must complete the scholarship annual review self-assessment and submit the extension application (for applicants) in the above-mentioned systems before 17:00 (Beijing Time), April 25, 2026.

2. For Supervisors/Reviewers

You must complete the scoring and review in the Campus Portal System before 17:00 (Beijing Time), May 1, 2026.
