In accordance with the overall arrangements of the University and the School of International Education (International Student Office), the following matters concerning the commencement of the 2026 Autumn Semester are hereby notified:

I. Registration

1. Registration Form: All international students must complete in-person registration at the School of International Education within the specified time.

2. Registration Period:

(1) Non-degree students (e.g., Chinese language trainees): 30–31 August.

(2) Degree Students: The centralized registration period for new undergraduate students of the 2026 grade is from August 30th to 31st; the centralized registration period for students of other grades is from September 1st to 4th.

Students unable to register as scheduled must submit leave requests to both the School of International Education (International Student Office) and their respective faculties by 30 August, completing formal procedures. Students failing to register without a valid reason for over two weeks, or whose leave requests remain unapproved or expire without registration, shall have their enrolment status revoked in accordance with university regulations.

3. Registration Venue:

4. Study Suspension, Resumption, and Leave Requests:

Students applying for leave of absence due to illness or other special circumstances must promptly log into the Campus Portal and submit their application via the "International Undergraduate/Postgraduate Academic Status Change Application" module. Those unable to resume studies upon the expiry of their leave period for the Autumn 2026 semester must apply for an extension of suspension and complete the relevant procedures. Students with an academic status of "Suspension" must complete the reinstatement procedures before proceeding with registration.

Students unable to register during the designated enrolment period must promptly log into the Campus Portal and submit a leave of absence request via the "International Student Leave of Absence Application Service". Such leave shall not exceed two weeks.

II. New Student Registration Documents

All new international students must bring the following documents for on-site registration.

1. Documents required for registration:

· Original passport and photocopy (A4 copy of passport's first page)

· Printed copy of the electronic Admission Notice (A4 size)

· Passport-sized photographs (recent, bareheaded, white background, 4.5cm x 3.5cm) – 6 copies

· Printed electronic version of JW201/JW202/DQ form

· Original and photocopy of notarised academic credentials (required only for degree-seeking students)

· Original medical examination report (if already obtained)

· Proof of payment (if fees have been paid)

2. Visa documentation:

· Original letter of acceptance

· Original passport

· Passport photocopies: One copy each of the passport's first page (A4 size), valid visa pages, and most recent entry stamp pages

· One recent 2-inch bareheaded photograph on a white background

· JW201 form/JW202 form

· Medical examination report issued within the last six months (reports from overseas medical institutions must be authenticated by the Dalian International Travel Health Centre before use)

· Accommodation Registration Form for Foreign Nationals (off-campus residents must complete this at their local police station in advance; on-campus residents need not provide this)

· Visa fee (400 RMB/800 RMB, determined by duration of study)

· If already holding a study residence permit, provide the graduation certificate or completion certificate from the previous study phase.

IV. Academic Arrangements

1. International Degree Students

(1) Freshmen of the 2026 academic year: Undergraduate students will commence their orientation on August 31st, with Chinese language majors starting their courses from September 7th. For undergraduate students in other majors, Chinese language classes will commence on September 7th, while their specialized courses will start on September 21st. Graduate students will commence their orientation and course selection on August 31st, and their classes will start on September 7th.

(2) Current students: Undergraduates will commence their classes on August 31st, while graduate students will initiate their academic research on the same date.

2. Chinese Language Programme Students

From September 1st to 4th, there will be a placement test and class assignment; classes will officially commence on September 7th.
