Program Introduction
The program aims to cultivate local and overseas Chinese teachers into interdisciplinary international talents who possess a solid foundation in Chinese language and international Chinese education, an understanding of China's national conditions and culture, strong Chinese communication skills, and professional qualities in international Chinese education, and have a healthy personality, good social adapt.ability, a broad international perspective and cross-cultural competence, enabling them to engage in international Chinese teaching and the dissemination of Chinese culture.

Application Requirements
1. Non-Chinese Citizen;
2. Age between 18 to 25 years old and in good health;
3. High School Diploma and Transcript(If you have not graduated at the time of application, you must provide a certificate of pre-graduation or expected graduation certificate.And than,obtain a high school diploma at the latest before enrolment);
4. Satisfy the language proficiency requirements for the Major speciality;
5. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, applicants must participate in the "the China Scholastic Competency Assessment(CSCA)" (hereinafter referred to as the CSCA Test) before submitting the application. The test results will be one of the essential materials for our university's review and admission.
6. Comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education’s document. [2020] No.12 and the relevant regulations of our university.
※High school graduates under 18 years of age, with a guardian in China (Dalian) can also apply.

Required Documents
1. 《Dalian University of Technology Application Form For International Student》(Finish the Online Application, the form will be auto-forming).
2. Notarized High School Diploma:
If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit a certificate of enrolment issued by the school he/she is attending. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
3. Transcripts:
Transcripts should be including all courses taken in high school up to the most recent semester. The transcripts should be issued and stamped by the Registrar's Office of the school that you are attending or the relevant student management office. Transcripts should be provided in Chinese or English. For languages other than Chinese or English, an English translation and notarization are required.
4. Language Certificate:
HSK Level 4 with a score of 210 and HSKK (Intermediate) with a score of 60 or above are required (2 years validity)
5. China Scholastic Competency Assessment(CSCA) transcript, scanned document:
According to Document No. 47 〔2025〕 of the China Scholarship Council (CSC), applicants applying for the Chinese Language undergraduate program at the School of International Education who can provide a valid HSK 4 score which met the corresponding admission requirements can be exempted from the Arts Chinese subject in the CSCA test.
6. Self Statement/Study Plan:
The language should be written in English or Chinese, not less than 600 words, please following “Attach 1. Self Statement Study Plan Sample” for more details.
7. Recommendation Letter:
A letter of recommendation from your high school principal or teacher(Signature of referee with email address and contact number). Please following “Attach 2.Letters of Recommendation Sample” for more details.
8.Foreigner Physical Examination Form:
The applicant should strictly follow the items required in the “Foreigner Physical Examination Form”, which must be completed in Chinese or English,and the validity period is six months. The Foreigner Physical Examination Form will be invalid if the following items are missing: pages,self-photo, a cross-page stamp over the photo and the form or a signature and a stamp of physician and hospital. Please following “Attach 3.Foreigner Physical Examination Form Sample” for more details.
9.Blood Test Report:
The Blood Test Report should include results of HIV, Syphilis/V.D.R.L, HbsAg and HCV.
10.Passport Photo Page and Blank Page:
Scan copy of Passport Photo Page and Blank Page. The passport expire day should later than September 2026.
11.Certificate of No Criminal Conviction:
It needs to be issued by the relevant department of the applicant’s country, and the validity period is six months. If it is not possible to provide it at the application stage, the Undertaking for a Clean Criminal Record in attachment 4 can be signed as a temporary substitute document. Please following “Attch 4.No Criminal Record Commitment” for more details.
12.Others:
(1)Financial Certification(The deposit certificate issued by the bank in the applicant's name of not less than RMB 50,000 or equivalent in foreign currency.This is limited to the applicant at his/her own expense);
(2)If applicants have already been to China before, please attach the entry and exit visa page as well;
(3)one photo(3cm*4cm);
(4)Art majors need to submit 2 works of art;
(5)As of September 1, 2026, applicant under 18 should provide relevant materials for notarization of guardians.
Notes:
a.Documents fail to meet the above requirements will be rejected;
b.Please provide documents 2-11 in scanned copy and upload to the online application system of DUT;
c.Documents other than Chinese or English are required to be translated and notarized;
d.During the review process, the school may require students to submit other materials if needed.

2. Log in online application system of School of International Education to upload the scanned copy of all the required documents;

3. Upon receiving the application documents submitted by the applicants, the school will undertake an examination.Applicants once admitted, the Admission Notice and the Application for Entry Form (JW202) will be sent to the enrolled applicants.
※ Important Note:
1.Applicants must take the "CSCA Test" organized by the China Scholarship Council on behalf of the Ministry of Education of China and have a valid "CSCA " test transcript before applying undergraduate studies. To take the test, please visit official CSCA website (www.csca.cn) for specific test dates and content.
2.To ensure a smooth application process, it is advisable to take the CSCA test at an early date and submit your results promptly, allowing sufficient time for subsequent review procedures. For specific test subjects, please follow “Attch5. 2026 Dalian University of Technology CSCA Test Subjects for International Undergraduate Students”.
3.Applicants who apply to our university before December 21, 2025, may first submit the DUT online application and then supplement it with a valid transcript after completing the CSCA test.
