On February 13, 2014, BSU Confucius Institute held The Lantern Festival Evening Party 2014 in BSU Affiliated Middle School Hall to celebrate the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival at 4 p.m. This celebration activity received strong support from Embassy of PRC in Belarus and Belarusian State University (BSU). BSU Affiliated Middle School Hall was decorated with Chinese style lanterns and colored hangings all over. Cui Qiming, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus, and IVASHKEVICH, Academician and BSU Vice-Rector, in the year of the Horse, congratulated all Chinese learners, friends of Belarusian people, Chinese people living in Belarus, wished them a happy festival.
Students from BSU Confucius Institute, BSU School of International Relations, BSU School of Languages, Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts (BSUCA), School of Translation at Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) and Minsk No. 23 Middle School sang and danced in good spirits and gave brilliant performances. Chinese students and Belarusian students hosted the party and performed together, demonstrating the co-operating, friendly and win-win purpose of Confucius Institute DUT-BSU.
Cui Qiming, Ambassador of PRC to Belarus, and his wife, Sun Hongzhi, Counsellor, and his wife, Wang Dajun, Education Office of the Embassy, Xia Guangyuan, Cultural Office of the Embassy, IVASHKEVICH, Academician and BSU Vice-Rector, as well as about 600 teachers, students and people from all walks of life in China and Belarus, attended this evening party.
