On November 6th, a "Delegation of the Heads in Charge of Management of The Confucius Institutes" designated by the The Confucius Institute DUT-BSU came to visit our college, and was welcomed by the Provost Guiling Ning and Dean of the School of International Education Hongjun Chen. The delegation was led by Smirnouski Aleh, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of Orsha, and consisted of several memners including Zahurski Andrei, Director of the Bureau of Education of Orsha, Kabeshava Halina, Principal of the No. 16 Senior High School of Orsha, Aharodnaya Liudmila and Leonchenka Valiantsina, Principal and Vice Principal of Smolevichy High School in Minsk, Bobryk Uladzimir, Head of the Department of Languages of at Gomel State University, and Kryvets Volha, Vice Dean of Republican Confucius Institute of Sinology at Belarusian State University.
Coming visit to our affiliated high school and being warmly welcomed by Principal Jie Zhou and the teachers and students there, the delegation discussed with the school leaders on educational cooperation in the morning.
Subsequently, warmly receiving the delegation in the main building with a detailed introduction to our college and the School of International Education, Provost Guiling Ning and Dean of the School of International Education Hongjun Chen discussed with the delegation on educational cooperation, student exchange etc. Provost Guiling Ning expressed the hope that by strengthening educational cooperation, the general and specific policies put forward by the two presidents can be better implemented to deepen our international education cooperation and build a vaster platform for future cooperation.
That afternoon, the delegation came to visit the Dalian Education Bureau. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Qing Mu and the delegation held amiable and friendly talks on how the governments can promote educational cooperation between China and Belarus, especially building well-established, multi-level, and comprehensive system for jointly cultivating talents from primary and secondary schools and universities.
During its visit, the delegation took sightseeing tours at places famous for their scenery or historical relics in Beijing and Dalian, and was deeply attracted by the diverse Chinese culture. Moreover, the delegation expressed high praise for the advantageous geographic environment and modern economic development in Dalian that provide a solid guarantee for our cooperation in education.
The visit of the "Delegation of the Heads in Charge of Management of The Confucius Institutes" has promoted cooperation in talent cultivation between China and Belarus, helped the schools or colleges from the two countries impulse internationalization of education, and opened all-round cooperation between our college and universities or schools in Belarus, attracting more Belarusian talented students to continue their studies at Dalian University of Technology (DUT).
