From July 3rd to July 16th, 2017, the summer camp had been successfully launched by the Confucius Institute DUT-BSU at the School of International Education of Dalian University of Technology (DUT). 62 campers and 3 leaders from Belarus had organized several events including Chinese language learning, cultural experience, and city sightseeing in Dalian and Beijing, respectively. As the largest event held since the establishment of the Confucius Institute DUT-BSU, this summer camp is exemplary in further developing Chinese culture.
The summer camp launched this year continued to take "Strengthen Oral Chinese Proficiency with A Focus on Experiencing Chinese Cultural Characters" as its theme. Taught by the well-experienced lecturers using customized textbooks, students divided into four classifications are allowed to learn how to speak Chinese perfectly in a short period of time. In addition, well-experienced lecturers were invited to introduce Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, Tai Chi and Chinese traditional music to the students in the afternoons, which allows students to closely enjoy the charms of traditional Chinese culture.
Outside the campus, the campers were organized to visit the Yinggeshi Botanical Garden, the Dumpling Museum, the Donggang Business District , the Great Wall and the Imperial Palace, which allowed them to personally feel the charms of Chinese culture contained in fantastic scenery that leaps to their eyes and leave them unforgettable memories. Most campers expressed express their desire to work hard to learn Chinese and hope to continue their studies at Dalian University of Technology!
