From March 20th to March 30th, 2019, the spring camp had been successfully launched by the Confucius Institute DUT-BSU at the School of International Education of Dalian University of Technology (DUT). 19 campers and 1 leader from Belarus had organized several events including Chinese language learning, cultural experience, and city sightseeing in Dalian, Suzhou, and Shanghai, respectively. Firstly launched since the establishment of the Confucius Institute DUT-BSU, this spring camp reflects the bright prospects for the growing cooperation between the two colleges.
The spring camp launched this year continued to take "Strengthen Oral Chinese Proficiency with A Focus on Experiencing Chinese Cultural Characters" as its theme. Taught by experienced lecturers, students were allowed to actively improve their language skills specific to listening, speaking, vocabulary, and reading in a short period of time in the Chinese class with a relaxed and enjoyable learning vibe. In addition, well-experienced lecturers were invited to introduce Chinese calligraphy, guzheng playing, and Chinese-styled films to the students in the afternoons. A series of traditional culture experience courses allow the students to closely enjoy the charms of Chinese culture.
Outside the campus, the campers were organized to visit the Xinghai Square, Donggang, the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, the Hanshan Temple, Shanghai Bund and museums etc., which allowed them to personally feel the charms of Chinese culture contained in fantastic scenery that leaps to their eyes and leave them unforgettable memories. Most campers expressed their intention to continue their studies at Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in the future and become massagers striving to promote educational and cultural exchanges between China and Belarus!
