On August 31, 2022, the foreign side interview for DUT Selection of Teachers Officially Assigned to Work at Confucius Institute 2022 was conducted by Confucius Institute Management Office, School of International Education and Confucius Institute of Belarusian State University via online meeting in which 8 candidates showed up and 7 of them were selected. This was the successful end to the selection of teachers officially assigned to work at Confucius Institute 2022.
DUT carried out the selection of teachers officially assigned to work at Confucius Institute 2022 since March 2022, picked up 21 candidates after 2 rounds of public recruitment and assessed through job application, school preliminary review, school recommendation and CLEC examination. After rounds of assessment, 8 candidates made it to the interview. In terms of professional knowledge, teaching skill, cross-cultural competence and other items, they were rated high distinction and therefore qualified for officially assigned teachers.
This interview was judged by Dean of Confucius Institute of Belarusian State University, Director of Chinese Language Teaching & Research Office and personnel of DUT Confucius Institute Management Office. Candidates’ foreign language proficiency, teaching experience, and job matching were thoroughly assessed. According to CLEC examination result, in the principle of fairness, openness and justice, and with reference to job requirement, 7 candidates were selected as officially assigned teachers in 2022. After the pre-job training of CLEC and DUT, they will go to work at Confucius Institute, Belarusian State University.
Since the implementation of assignment, the contact between two sides became more frequent. DUT was active to undertake school-running responsibilities of Confucius Institute, recommended high-quality teachers, assigned 10 teachers to work at Confucius Institute, Belarusian State University 3 years in a row. In the future, DUT will continue to support the construction of teaching staff at Confucius Institute and make great efforts to provide an inexhaustible motive force and resource guarantee for the development of international Chinese education.
