In order to chime in with The Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative and pep up Chinese enterprises to go global, with the backing of Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), Dalian University of Technology (DUT) held 8 job fairs since June for CIS students who enrolled in talents training program "Chinese+Business", for which Geely Auto, Zoomlion Heavy Industry, Midea and other big and influential Chinese enterprises were invited to recruit and employ online. 600 students from 8 countries including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Armenia listened to the briefing about the business development in their countries, for which over 70 job opportunities sought-after were offered and scrambled for.
Many well-known Chinese enterprises and Dalian’s local international enterprises from multiple industries were invited, including Geely Auto, Zoomlion Heavy Industry, BGI, Sany Heavy Industry, Midea, BYD, MH Group, DentBio, Riqian Logistics from fields of automotive, logistics, mechanical manufacturing, life science, biotechnology, electronics, as well as industrial automation and intelligence.
Lu Anhui, Principal Assistant, addressed in opening ceremony of job fair, “Talent is the cornerstone of development. Global talent is more important for Chinese enterprises to go global. For that reason, it is the trend of the times to cultivate talents with multiple skills and comprehensive knowledge who are highly proficient in Chinese, well versed in Chinese culture and really aware of what foreign and domestic enterprises and market need. With the deepening internationalization of higher education, lighting up the talent map in a global perspective will play a significant role in improving service system for study in China and implementing The Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative.”
Yuan Xun and Tang Yanyan, Representatives of Belarus Zoomlion Heavy Industry and Midea Group, were filled with gratitude for our special training program, who expressed that, with the efforts of Dalian University of Technology (DUT), Chinese enterprises can be able to exactly match superb global talents at a lower recruitment cost. A contact platform was effectively built for Chinese enterprises and local talents who master Chinese. DUT did made great contribution to "the Belt and Road" economic and trade cooperation.
At job fair, students and enterprise representatives asked and answered questions to each other. Scene atmosphere was effervescent. Most of students didn’t envision the job opportunity from Chinese study, who felt grateful to Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) and Dalian University of Technology (DUT) for Chinese teaching and hoped to find their desired jobs with the advantage of Chinese language and contribute to the development of economic and cultural exchanges between their countries and China.
This job fair is a new attempt to build practical global talent cultivation brand of Chinese language. In the future, DUT will continue to strengthen the collaboration among school, government and enterprise, build the community with a shared future for school and enterprise, serve the business development of Chinese enterprises going global in countries along "the Belt and Road", create a benign ecology that introduces enterprises into school and help enterprises go global. DUT will continue to expand scope of collaboration, promote “Chinese + Profession” education, provide students with superior educational resources, make the reservoir of global talents bigger and contribute more wisdom and strength to Chinese enterprises for the purpose of going global.
