The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for Manufacturing to Power the Country·Tour to China for Belarusian Students in China sponsored by the Center For Language Education and Cooperation and organized by Dalian University of Technology was successfully held in China from July 1st to July 15th. Twenty trainees from the Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarus State University were warmly received by the teachers and trainees of the School of International Education. The project has carefully planned the course system of "language classes of 'Chinese + science and technology' + science and technology knowledge lectures + visiting experience of collision between science and technology, and culture", so that trainees can fully feel the rapid development and changes of China's science and technology, and fully understand the real and three-dimensional face of Chinese society.
On July 5th, the project held a grand opening ceremony. Lu Anhui, the assistant principal, extended a warm welcome to the trainees coming from Belarus. In the speech, he introduced the basis of cooperation between China and Belarus and the prospects of cooperation between the two parties, and pointed out that the world is changing rapidly, the economic and social development calls for a large number of high-quality and international talents. It is hoped that the trainees will cherish the opportunity of this summer camp, broaden their vision, establish friendship, understand China and fall in love with China, and contribute to the China-Belarus exchange and cooperation to a new level and the building of a China-Belarus community with a shared future.
In the language classes of "Chinese + science and technology", the teacher asked the trainees to consolidate the Chinese foundation through the immersive language training, and master the practical knowledge and language skills of Chinese for science and technology. The Chinese level of the trainees has been improved rapidly and their understanding of Chinese has become deeper.
In the lecture on science and technology knowledge, the teacher showed the historical development and outstanding achievements of Chinese science and technology, and vividly explained how modern technology contributes to the high-quality development of Chinese education. The contents of the lecture were fascinating and interactive, and the scene atmosphere was very active.
The module of visiting experience of collision between science and technology, and culture was rich in content, in which, Chinese traditional culture experience courses such as Chinese knot and Chinese calligraphy were set up, the experimental and training bases and cultural attractions in Dalian and Beijing were also arranged. The visit to RoboMaster Intelligent Robot Laboratory, Dalian Davos International Convention Center, Dalian Modern Museum and other places enabled trainees to "enjoy science and technology, flying dreams", feel the vitality of China’s science and technology, and the visit to the China Museum of Science and Technology, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven fully showed China's long history and broad future. The trainees were China for its inclusiveness, openness, modernization and infinite vitality.
At the successful end of the two-week summer camp, the trainees said that the trip to China was full of harvest and touching, which they will never forget. Trainee Du Bingwei (DUBOVIK PALINA) pointed out that China is a beautiful and magical country, with a long history and splendid culture. Trainee Liang You’an (BALASHOU IVAN) is preparing to study for a master’s degree in international Chinese education in China. He hopes to become a messenger of language and cultural exchanges between China and Belarus in the future.
