On July 29, the successful end to Online Training (Phase 2) 2022 for Belarusian Native Chinese Language Teachers, which was sponsored by Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) and undertaken by Dalian University of Technology (DUT), was proclaimed with an online closing ceremony at which Duan Yuping, Dean of School of International Education, Liu Suling, Dean of Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarus State University and Yulia Matlakhova, Director of Chinese Language Teaching and Research Office, 25 Belarusian native Chinese language teachers were in attendance. Yang Liang, Deputy Director of Confucius Institute Management Office, School of International Education was the host.

Duan Yuping represented Dalian University of Technology (DUT) to congratulate Belarusian students on having done the online training, expressed sincere appreciation to Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) for its unswerving care and support to DUT training work for foreign Chinese language teachers, and highly commended Belarusian personnel on investing positive efforts into this training program. He said, “Training program for foreign native Chinese language teachers is offered to be an important exploration of our internationalized education and also an important practice of exerting our advantage of education oriented to Belarus and promoting human culture across countries. I hope a greater progress in Chinese language education could be made in Belarus through this training program.”

        In her speech, Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and all teaching staff were highly rated for the work. Yulia Matlakhova said, “The teaching content of this training is well designed in which there are special topic, intensive study, calligraphy and painting, as well as massed learning and interactive communication. It is believed that, with the joint efforts of both sides, men of talent will come out in succession in Belarus.”

        Shi Yu represented training class to make a speech. She said, “I benefit a lot from 2 weeks of online training. I was taught the cutting-edge knowledge of international Chinese education. I broaden my horizons, open my mind, burnish my Chinese teaching skill and professional literacy. I do appreciate the service and the hard work of each and every lecturer. I hope one day I could have chance to take a further study in Dalian University of Technology (DUT).

        At the end of ceremony, all students sang Chinese song “I Love My Family”. Passionate singing moved all teachers. Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is that family where forever welcomes all students whenever they come to China.
