In the sound of rain, hundreds of cereals grow, and all things just comes at the right time. The 13th "International Chinese Day" came as promised with the spring breeze. At the initiative of the Sino Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education and the Chinese Alliance, Dalian University of Technology and the Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University enthusiastically carried out the activity of "Chinese: Build A Better Future Together" as well as the themed events on "International Chinese Day" online and offline.

For welcoming the arrival of "Chinese Day", the lecturers from " Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University" shared the knowledge of Chinese characters and Chinese 24 solar terms with the students in the Chinese teaching tutorials, and guide the students to hold and wield a pen calligraphically. The lecturers also held an "open calligraphy class" for local primary and secondary school students to take. With pen and ink as the medium and culture as the core, lecturers and students together learned from the Chinese cultural spirit of "Know and Observe All, But Stay Obscure".

On April 20, the Confucius Institute released the slogan of "Speak Chinese on The International Chinese Day". Liu Suling, Chinese dean, introduced the origin and significance of the "International Chinese Day" and the profile of Dalian University of Technology to the students from Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University who was present at the event. The Confucius Institute also widely publicized the "Chinese Day" by means of interview, and tongue twisters, poem reciting, singing Chinese songs and other activities were held on site, which brought plausible interaction and learning effects.

In the co-frequency resonance with the "Confucius Institute of Sinology of Belarusian State University", the School of International Education of Dalian University of Technology also organized Chinese Language and Literature undergraduates and Chinese Language Training students to participate in the "International Chinese Day" activity online. Students from 10 countries such as South Korea, Japan and Russia spoke out "Speak Chinese in Chinese Day" in unison to express the sincerest wishes for the festival. In the process of " encounter with Chinese”, they not only gain new life experience, but also build a bridge for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and become massagers of cultural exchanges in between.

In the future, Dalian University of technology will join hands with Confucius Institutes overseas, take "Chinese teaching and Chinese culture communication" as the starting point and "tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese voice" as the mission, strengthen the connotation construction, promote the characteristic development, cultivate international talents with elite and general knowledge who learn about and are friendly to China in a new era, provide opportunities for more overseas people who want to learn about Chinese language and cultures and are willing to work in Chinese enterprises, and in turn promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.
