On May 16, class opening ceremony of Online Training (First Phase) for Belarusian Native Chinese Language Teachers 2022, sponsored by Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) and undertaken by Dalian University of Technology (DUT), was officially held at which Duan Yuping, Dean of School of International Education, Liu Suling, Dean of BSU Confucius Institute, 23 Belarusian native Chinese language teachers and lecturers were present. Yang Liang, Deputy Director of Confucius Institute Management Office, School of International Education, hosted the ceremony.

Duan Yuping as DUT representative extended a warm welcome to all students and expressed sincere gratitude to all teachers. He introduced the achievements of cooperation between DUT and BSU and short-term programs, hoped all students could improve their level of theoretical literacy in Chinese teaching, enhance teaching skill through this training and contribute to international communication and mutual understanding.

Liu Suling said, “With the thriving development of international Chinese language education in Belarus, native teachers increasingly became the main force of Chinese language teaching. Training for native teachers is of significance to the long development of Chinese language education in Belarus. I hereby express my gratitude to DUT and hope all students could polish up your level of profession through this training.”

Cao Linhong, Associate Professor, as lecture representative, introduced training curriculum, including Chinese ontology knowledge & language elements teaching, teaching case analysis, class activity design, language test coaching and Chinese language culture and hoped all students and teachers could stay interactive and enjoy cloud-based e-learning.

Teacher Sia as student representative expressed gratitude to DUT, hoped to be guided by senior teachers, level up Chinese language teaching skill and enrich herself through this training.

Online Training for Belarusian Native Chinese Language Teacher 2022 was the first training program oriented to foreign native teachers from BSU Confucius Institute after the pandemic ends, which was held in this May and July. This training program was directed at characteristics and development needs of Belarusian local teaching in which a series of Chinese teaching lecture, one-on-one Chinese interactive exchange and training on Chinese cultural knowledge were carried out based on “Chinese Alliance” platform, in order to promote the quality and efficiency of Belarusian Chinese teaching.
