On September 18, to celebrate Confucius Institute Day initiated by Center For Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), Ren Leya, teacher of DUT Peking Opera Group, was specially invited by Confucius Institute Office to give an attractive Peking Opera lecture in which students were highly engaged and actively interactive.
Before lecture, teacher of Confucius Institute Office introduced the purpose of “Confucius Institute Day” and 10 years of development history, enhancing students’ understanding of the purpose of Confucius Institute that was established to promote educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries, and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between each other.
Re Leya explained profound theories in simple language. Her lecture was lively and easy to understand, thereby bringing out students’ enthusiasm for Peking Opera as traditional quintessence of China and popularizing the basic knowledge of Peking Opera. All students expressed they could somewhat make it clear, understand something professional in Peking Opera and felt grateful to Confucius Institute for providing this good opportunity to study in China and appreciate Chinese culture. They would definitely contribute to sino-foreign friendship after graduation.
