According to the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Measures (2024)", the evaluation of the 2024 comprehensive award for international students has been launched, and the specific arrangements are as follows:

I. Overall Requirements

The evaluation of various awards is carried out following the overall requirements of the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Measures (2024)". The School of International Education has established an International Student Award Evaluation Committee and formulated the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Evaluation Regulations (2024)" based on the characteristics of international student education.

II. Scope of the Evaluation

The comprehensive award for international students at DUT is set up for all students registered and enrolled within the basic academic duration, excluding freshmen and non-degree students who have studied for less than one semester and international students who have exceeded or are not enrolled.

If a new student also studied at our school in the past academic year, they can use their achievements from the past academic year and participate in the evaluation according to their past student type.

The calculation range for various award achievements is from Sep. 1, 2023, to Aug. 31, 2024, and the graduation grade (subject to the academic duration) can be extended to the day of this notice.

III. Award Setting

Set up six types of comprehensive rewards, namely: Academic Star, Peer Star, Talent and Sports Star, Volunteer Star, Social Practice Star, and Innovation Star;

Set a maximum reward, which is the International Star.

IV. Award Allocation

The six types of comprehensive rewards are determined based on a maximum of 5% of the total number of eligible students for this year's selection (If a decimal point occurs, it is rounded to the nearest whole number), and International Star has a fixed quota of 5 per year. The quota for each reward is shown in the table below:

V. Evaluation Process

1. Self-declaration stage: Oct. 1st to Oct. 16th (Beijing time)

Students participating in the evaluation can download various corresponding application forms in the attachment of this notice. Please refer to Part 6 of this notice for document preparation.

Documents submission time: before 11:00 on Oct. 16th (Beijing time). All documents shall be submitted in electronic form, and the submission method is specified in Part 7 of this notice. If the documents are not submitted within the deadline or are incomplete, it will be deemed as giving up participation in the evaluation.

2. SIE evaluation stage: Oct. 17th to Oct. 24th (Beijing time)

The International Student Award Evaluation Committee of the School of International Education will be responsible for the evaluation of relevant awards in accordance with the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Evaluation Regulations (2024)", and the results will be announced throughout the school for 3 days. After no objections, the final list of award-winning students will be determined.

3. Commendation Stage: Oct. 24 to Dec. 31 (Beijing Time)

The School of International Education will continue to promote and recognize exemplary award-winning students through appropriate means and will give on-site recognition to the award-winning students at the Annual Ceremony at the end of the year.

VI. Application Documents

1. Six comprehensive rewards

Students can apply for multiple awards at the same time, and each award can be obtained simultaneously. When applying for each award, it is necessary to submit:

(1)“Application Form for the □□ Star Award”, in electronic Word format.

(2) Attachment including 2 items:

① The transcript of DUT, scanned or screenshot of the electronic version;

② All supporting documents for the scoring content filled in the declaration form, in electronic Word format.

Attention: Please refer to the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Evaluation Regulations (2024)" for the requirements of supporting documents, and arrange them in the order they were filled out in the "Application Form for the □□ Star Award". Edit them into one Word document and indicate which scoring item in the Application Form each supporting document supports. If no valid supporting documents are provided or the supporting documents are inconsistent with the content filled in the Application Form, no points will be counted.

2. International Star

The International Star Award does not require students to apply and will be generated from the students who have won the comprehensive award this year following the "Dalian University of Technology International Student Comprehensive Incentive Evaluation Regulations (2024)".

VII. Application Method

Place three electronic copies of each award (the Application Form, Transcript, Supporting documents) in the same folder, compress them into zip format, and name the compressed file with "Student ID + Award name" (e.g. 21606240 + Academic Star). Send it to the advisor's email within the specified time.

If applying for multiple awards at the same time, it is necessary to send separate application emails for each award.
