According to the relevant regulations of the university and the overall arrangement of the orientation work of the School of International Education (International Students Office), the following matters related to the registration of the autumn semester of 2025 are with this notified:
I. Registration
1. Form of Registration:
All international students should report to the School of International Education to complete the offline registration before the deadline.
2. Registration time:
(1) Degree students: The registration time for new students of Grade 2025 is from August 31 to September 2; the registration time for students of other grades is from September 3 to 4.
(2) Non-degree students: August 31 to September 2.
Those who can't register following the regulations for some reason must ask for leave of absence from the School of International Education (International Students Office) and their departments (colleges/faculties) before August 31. Go through the relevant procedures according to the regulations. For those who fail to report for registration without any reason for more than two weeks, for those whose leave of absence has not been approved, or for those whose leave of absence is overdue while they still fail to report for registration, the School will cancel the registration according to the provisions of the university.
3.Registration location:
Offices of the School of International Education are on the 1st floor of the Haichuan Building.

4. Suspension, resuming studies, and leave of absence:
If a student applies for suspension due to illness or other special reasons, he/she should log in to the DUT Portal and apply for suspension through the module "International Undergraduate/Postgraduate Student Status Change Application" in time. If he/she is unable to return to school after the suspension period expires at the end of the spring semester of 2025, he/she still needs to apply for suspension. Students whose academic status is suspended are required to apply for resuming their studies before registering.
Students who cannot register during the registration period should log on to the DUT Portal and apply for a leave of absence through the International Student Leave Request Service. The leave of absence should not exceed two weeks.
II. Registration materials for new students
All new international students should bring the following materials for on-site registration.
1. International degree students must prepare:
① 1 copy of previous academic certificate (size A4)
② Original of previous academic certificate
③ 1 copy of previous transcript (size A4)
④ 1 ID photo (size: 3.5*4.5cm, white background)
⑤ 1 copy of the first page of the passport (A4 size)
⑥ 1 copy of admission letter (A4 size)
2. International non-degree students must prepare:
① 1 ID photo (size: 3.5*4.5cm, white background)
② 1 copy of the first page of the passport (A4 size)
③ 1 copy of admission letter (A4 size)
3. Visa materials:
① Original admission letter
② Original passport
③ Passport copy: 1 copy each of the first page of the passport (size A4), the valid visa page, and the page of the latest entry stamp.
④ 1 recent 2-inch ID photo with a white background
⑤ JW201/ 202
⑥ Physical examination report within six months (the report issued by the overseas medical institution must be certified by the Dalian International Travel Health Care Centre before it can be used).
⑦Registration form for off-campus accommodation (for off-campus accommodation, you need to go to the police station where you are staying in advance, but you don't need to provide this form for on-campus accommodation).
⑧ Visa fee (400 yuan/800 yuan, depending on the duration)
⑨If you already hold a study residence permit, you must also provide a graduation certificate or completion certificate from the previous study period.

Placement test and placement: 2th-4th September;
The beginning of classes is on 8th September.
