Our School Signed a Joint Construction Agreement with Dalian No.17 Middle School and Dalian No.3 School of High-tech Zone for the International Chinese Education Students' Practical Base

On November 22 morning, among Dalian University of Technology, Dalian No. 17 Middle School and Dalian No. 3 School of High-tech Zone, a signing ceremony was successfully held upon jointly building a Practice Base for master students of DUT majoring in International Chinese Education. Representatives from both sides, namely Professor Duan Yuping, Dean of the School of International Education, and Yang Xuhua, principal of both Dalian No.17 Middle School and Dalian High-tech Zone No. 3 School, and relevant teaching leaders of both sides, attended the signing ceremony.

During the process, Dean Duan Yuping introduced the training and internship needs of international Chinese education graduate students of our school, as well as expressed his sincere gratitude to Dalian No. 17 Middle School and Dalian No. 3 School of High-tech Zone for their strong support to the construction of internship base of our school. In response, Principal Yang Xuhua expressed his gratitude to the International Education School of our school, followed by introducing the basic situation, composition of students and teachers of No.17 Middle School of Dalian and No.3 School of High-tech Zone of Dalian respectively. Furthermore, two sides also made a discussion upon core issues relating to the connection between basic education and higher education, the ways and links of postgraduate practice, and the transformation of new teachers' identity. Finally, two sides reached a consensus on the co-construction mode of the internship base and signed the co-construction agreement.

The cultivation and improvement of professional practical ability is an important part in the training of master students in International Chinese education. In combination with the training requirements of master students in this major and the current direction of employment, our school has always emphasized the multi-level and multi-modal development of graduate practical practice. Our school take the basic education practice as priority as an vital part of the internship of International Chinese education major. We strive for the improvement of the quality of practical teaching of International Chinese education major. Students are encouraged to take the stage becoming both cultural disseminators for international students and excellent educators for primary and secondary schools. We are making our efforts to comprehensively improve the quality of talent training.
