The 4th "Seeking the Path" Teaching Salon Held

On the noon of November 5, 2024, the 4th "Seeking the Path" teaching Salon was held in Room 116 of the Graduate Teaching Building. Themed with "Excellent International Chinese Education Case Sharing", this teaching salon was hosted by Associate Professor Guo Hanning, Assistant Dean of the School of International Education, and attended by all teachers of the School.

This teaching salon focuses on teaching case studies in the field of international Chinese education and is closely related with the Schools key task of building a teaching case database as well as the ongoing first China Graduate International Chinese Education Case Competition. In order to further standardize the writing of teaching cases and improve teachers' teaching levels and case analysis abilities, this salon targets the book of Analysis and Commentary on International Chinese Teaching Cases" to explore how to select case topics, from the aspects of teaching contents, teaching methods, resource evaluation, teaching management, and cross-cultural communication. In addition, the methods of case writing and analyzing were deeply discussed then.


Associate Professor Guo Hanning encouraged teachers to try new teaching methods and strategies, be good at accumulating teaching cases, be diligent in teaching reflection, and constantly improve their teaching level and teaching research ability.

As an important department of teaching Chinese to international students in DUT, the School of International Education has always been attaching great importance to classroom teaching and curriculum construction, and the construction of international Chinese education cases is one of the important measures for the School to build high-quality teaching resources. This teaching salon activity provides effective guidance and reference for the teaching construction work, and the teachers' knowledge and understanding of international Chinese education case teaching has been further deepened and improved. In the future, the School of International Education will continue to build the platform for teacher exchange and collaborative growth, and continue to promote the high-quality development of international Chinese education and teaching in DUT.
