In order to promote the new master students, who are majoring in Teaching Chinese the The Speakers of Other Languages (hereinafter referred to as "TCSOL"), to have a comprehensive understanding of professional training and campus life, as well as to carry out academic planning in an earlier stage, on September 4th, the College held orientation meeting for new students. Associate Professor Hanning Guo, also being the assistant to the dean of school, Teacher Jiatian Wang, director of TCSOL Practice Center and Teacher Siyu Tian, counselor of TCSOL attended the meeting, which was presided over by Teacher Tian Siyu.
First of all, Teacher Tian expressed a warm welcome to all the new students, and introduced the cultivation and daily student management of TCSOL. In terms of the training of Hanshuo, Teacher Tian introduced the cultivation system with time line to help students have deeper understanding. In terms of daily management, Teacher Tian explained the Student Guidebook, helping students get quick familiarity in various campus regulations and norms and achieve the good personal behavior. At the same time, Teacher Tian also gave the introduction of various student activities and encouraged them to actively participate in the events organization.
Next,Dr. Jiatian Wang explained the requirements of professional practice in detail from three aspects, so as to effectively improve their understanding of professional practice training and actively facilitate students' professional planning.
Dr. Hanning Guo gave warm tips centered around perspectives of identity transformation, professional learning, academic research and planning, and future development. Then, Dr. Guo emphasized on the differences between undergraduate stage and graduate stage, which especially reflect on the depth and difficulty of study. Dr. Guo also give the wishes to new students, hoping all of them can concentrate on the challenge, seriously plan their studies, and climb the academic peak with a positive attitude.
