In order to actively respond to the national Belt and Road cooperation initiative, promote educational and cultural exchanges between China and East Asian countries, improve the international cooperation level of our university, and improve the quality of international students in China, Lu Anhui, assistant president of Dalian University of Technology, led a delegation to attend the "Mongolia (First) HSK China Study Abroad Employment Exhibition" hosted by Hankao International, the Chinese Foreign Language Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education. 21 top universities in China, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Dalian University of Technology, as well as 16 famous multinational enterprises such as Huawei, ZTE, and China Railway, participated in the exhibition. Duan Yuping, the Dean of the School of International Education at our university, and relevant personnel from the School of International Education and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office formed the Dalian University of Technology Overseas Enrollment Exchange Lecture Team to participate in this study abroad employment exhibition。
On the morning of October 8th, the first Mongolian HSK China Study Abroad Employment Exhibition opened in the capital Ulaanbaatar. The exhibition attracted over 5000 Mongolian HSK candidates, Chinese learners, parents, and people from all walks of life to participate, and the scene was enthusiastic. More than 200 Chinese and Mongolian guests attended the opening ceremony, including Shen Minjuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mongolia, Bulgen, Director of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bureau for External Propaganda and Cultural Exchange, Li Zhi, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia and Director of the Ulaanbaatar Chinese Cultural Center, Lu Anhui, Assistant President of Dalian University of Technology, Huang Lei, Deputy General Manager of Hankao International, and representatives of Chinese universities and enterprises.
At the opening ceremony, Assistant President of Dalian University of Technology, Lu Anhui, was invited to speak as a representative of Chinese universities participating in the exhibition. In his speech, he first expressed gratitude on behalf of 21 Chinese universities for the organizers' meticulous planning and organization of the exhibition. He mentioned that language and culture are important links connecting China and Mongolia, and require high-quality talent support, especially those who understand Chinese and have an international perspective. The mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Mongolia is constantly deepening, and educational exchanges and cooperation are gradually deepening and becoming more practical. This exhibition will undoubtedly play an important role in promoting in-depth exchanges and mutual learning between young talents from China and Mongolia. I also hope that through this exhibition, more Mongolian students can learn more about China and Chinese higher education, and I wish the exhibition a complete success.
At the exhibition site, Ambassador Shen Minjuan made a special visit to our school booth to learn about our enrollment promotion situation, highly praised our school's positive role in this study abroad employment education exhibition, and highly affirmed and praised our school's continuous training work for Mongolian students.
During the exhibition presentation process, the enrollment presentation team provided detailed information to Mongolian students and parents about the school's professional settings, scholarship applications, enrollment procedures, and procedures, and provided professional interpretations of the questions asked by students. Our Mongolian alumni have also joined the enrollment promotion team to introduce and promote our alma mater, sharing their experiences, thoughts, and feelings at the university.
During this time, Lu Anhui and his delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia. Li Zhi, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia and Director of the Ulaanbaatar Chinese Cultural Center, and Shi Yongbin, Director of the Consular Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, received members of the preaching group. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on how to further promote student exchanges between Mongolia and our school, and enhance the Mongolian people's comprehensive understanding of Chinese society.
Subsequently, Principal Assistant Lu Anhui cordially met with our Mongolian international alumni to get more knowledge about the development of international alumni. She looked forward to international alumni playing a greater role in student exchanges between our school and Mongolia and promoting the development of China and Mongolia. This time, our university has established the Mongolian International Alumni Association of Dalian University of Technology, awarding MUNKHKHISHIG ULZIIBAYAR, an international alumnus working at the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, the honorary title of "Mongolian International Student Enrollment Promotion Ambassador of Dalian University of Technology".
Through this visit to Mongolia and exhibition exchange, we not only showcased the international brands of our double first-class universities to the outside world, but also increased our international reputation and influence, showcasing our unique charm in attracting more high-quality international students to study at our university. At the same time, it is of great significance to implement the joint statement of the People's Republic of China and Mongolia on promoting comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era, enhance the international influence and competitiveness of China's higher education, and promote the high-quality development of international Chinese language education in the new era.
