The Dalian University of Technology Clinic is a first-class comprehensive hospital integrating clinical medical treatment, preventive health care, and health education, and is the designated medical unit of Dalian Municipal Health Insurance. The hospital adheres to the concept of "people-oriented, health protection" to serve the health of the whole university teachers, students, and staff.

The clinic of Dalian University of Technology was founded in 1949 as a health center. In 1960, the main hospital building was completed and the hospital was changed to a university hospital.

The clinic now has 58 employees, including 55 medical and nursing staff, and 10 medical staff with senior titles. The building area of the school hospital is more than 4,500 square meters, with 60 open beds. It provides clinical departments such as Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Stomatology, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Physical Examination, etc., as well as pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, ultrasonography, and other medical technology departments. The school hospital has the Nanshan Clinic and Software College Clinic. The University Hospital has advanced medical equipment such as a Toshiba full-body color ultrasound machine, direct digital radiography (DR), digital gastrointestinal machine, automatic biochemical analyzer, dynamic electrocardiograph, dynamic blood pressure monitor, and multi-lead electrocardiograph.

The main function of the DUT Clinic is to provide public health services and basic medical services for the health of the whole school. The main tasks are the treatment of common and frequent diseases; prevention and management of infectious diseases, emergency treatment of public health emergencies, and prevention and intervention of chronic non-communicable diseases; regular health check-ups for faculty, staff, and retirees, and health check-ups for new students and graduates; teaching tasks for public courses on health education for university students; and carrying out a variety of activities such as health education and publicity, disease prevention, health care, and rehabilitation.
